The Knowledge Base powers your AI’s understanding of your business. It lets the AI answer questions, provide contextually relevant help, and complete tasks using the exact language, structure, and strategy of your organisation.
Recommended File Types:
- Strategy documents (vision decks, OKRs, roadmaps)
- Service guides and playbooks
- Client onboarding materials
- Product feature explanations or documentation
- Brand guidelines, tone-of-voice guides
- Internal training manuals or policy docs
- Interview transcripts, call notes (for insight-based AIs)
Tips:
- Focus on what you want your AI to “know”, like how your business works or what makes your services unique.
- Group files by theme or purpose if your AI serves multiple roles (e.g. Sales + Onboarding).
- Keep versions current—replace outdated materials to avoid confusion.
What Not to Include:
- Raw data files (spreadsheets, CSVs)—use the Code Interpreter for those.
- Highly confidential data, unless necessary—AI remembers all inputs.
